WHERE HAVE I BEEN?Hello everyone, yes, I’m back! I guess most of you must have thought I’d disappeared from the face of the earth. Well no, just having a very frustrating time battling with computer problems, its a long story which I won’t bore you with, be it enough to say that after many calls to various Technical Support people, replacing my modem with a new router system and moving my computer so it connects directly into the main box line, all is working. However, this has meant me moving my equipment from the office, to a small table in the conservatory because there is a fault on the telephone line that goes around into the office. I hope to get it rectified soon, as the present conditions are very cramped, nevertheless, I count my blessings and I am so thankful that I can at last be on-line again.
I have missed you all so much and needless to say, I have a lot of catching up to do as its about a month since I’ve been able to use my computer successfully. I would like to thank all of you who have sent e-mails asking if I am OK and I do apologise for them going unanswered. I will catch up in due course, however, that will probably be sometime after the 20 August as we have guests staying until that date and its going to be a busy time at home. Of course I’ll not be able to resist checking my mail box, so I’d love to hear from anyone who hasn’t completely given up on me.
I sincerely hope all my blogging friends are well and enjoying the summer, I hope too that you have enjoyed better weather conditions than those experienced in most parts of the UK. Fortunately Wales hasn’t suffered anywhere near as much as my home county of Gloucestershire where there has been dreadful flooding forcing many people to abandon their homes. Water has only just been connected to most of the folk in Gloucestershire, however, it is of such an appalling quality it is only suitable for flushing the loo. I’ve been told by family back there that it smells nasty and is a disgusting yellow colour, so they continue to rely on bottled water. This awful ordeal has made everyone appreciate the simple task of turning on the tap to obtain clean water, something in this day and age we do tend to take for granted.
The the rain has made the garden grow at an incredible rate but at the same time prevented us from keeping it under control. However, the last few days have been glorious and the sound of lawn mowers and stimmers can be heard from most gardens in the village. I too must get out there and embark on a major tidy up before our guests arrive.
