ANOTHER CORNER OF MY HOMEThis glass fronted wall cupboard is where I keep the collection of pretty cups and saucers I've collected over the years.
It was such a lucky find when an old Post Office Sorting Office was closing down and they were selling off old requisites and fittings.
The cupboard was originally used to keep all the keys to the red post boxes in the surrounding villages and the inside was sectioned off into little pigeon-holes which housed the respective keys. In one way it would have been nice to have kept this original structure, but I had other ideas and its just perfect for my little china collection.

that is such a nice collection of cups and things and so all well matched in this eclectic way. I think you have to be sometimes really lucky to have such a good find as this cupboard! The lace as carol said really sets it off.

Hi Lulu, Mindy, Val, Carol & Krissie, I'm pleased you liked my little cupboard and its contents. The lace belonged to my mother and is hand made. I felt rather guilty about cutting it up to fit the shelves, but in doing so, I am able to enjoy it everyday, instead of it simply sitting in a drawer unseen. I know Mum would have approved of how I've used it. Mum
A lovely little cupboard Marion and a great find. My Aunty Daphne used to bring my mum pretty cups and saucers and now I have a few of them which she passed on to me. I love them! Yours is such a pretty collection.
WOW! That is my dream to have a cabinet space to put up my teacups with the lace edges. I love all the different kinds of cups and saucers.
What a beautiful display of lovely cups and saucers. I've enjoyed seeing your pictures and reading your posts so very much!
This is so beautiful. My Mom is a collector of teapots & pretty things & my Dad built her some beautiful cabinets for them. This reminds me of their home.
