TAKE A LOOK AROUND MY GARDEN

At last it has stopped raining and we have had sunny days over our Spring Bank holiday weekend, the remainder of the week looks good for us too. Prayers are answered!!!

Here are some photographs I’ve taken over the last few days but its such a pity that the garden has taken such a bashing from wind and rain.

My garden is a bit of a mixture and as you can see, I’m very fond of architectural plants. A cordyline, at the front of the house, has produced a flower for the first time this year, maybe its all the rain we’ve had and I am delighted with my little laburnum tree, its only about 2ft tall, I planted it last year and this is its first flowering too, what a show its put on for us!

Why? Your pictures are great, perfect and I like that I can even click on them to see the bigger version! Yor garden looks very nice and you can even grow palm trees, that shows your mild winters. And your red peony is already blooming, they are not blooming here yet. I especially like the first photo where you can see the house and the beautiful blooming tree. We have the same Wisteria! Oh an Al will like your Hostas on the table and the Alchemilla, that's where her nick name Al comes from ;-)

Marion~
Your garden is lovely. I especially like the raindrops on the hosta leaves, and your lavender rhododendron.
When I was first married (12 years ago) my husband and I lived in Southampton for about 6 months. For a honeymoon weekend we traveled to and around Wales. It was so beautiful and we stayed at a B&B in Manorbier called The Fernley Lodge. It was a short walk to Manorbier castle and a bay with surfers (my husband surfed at the time). We really felt the Lord gave us that special weekend.
Blessings to you,
Roberta :)

Marion - thank you for such an extensive look at your beautiful garden. I particularly liked the sloping lawn - the one the cat likes, too. I also like architectural plants - their overall shape, also the texture, shape and colour of their leaves and they way they contrast or interact with other plants. Flowers are just an added bonus.

Hi I am new to blogging. I stumbled across your blog from Carol's. Both your house and garden are wonderful, you must be so proud of all the work you have put into your home. The climate in your part of Wales must be quite mild when I see some of the plants in your garden, and I just adore your summer house. I also love your wisteria. I will be back another day to enjoy some more of your photos.

Hi Marion,
Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my blog. I think your garden and home look wonderful - and the paint job on the dresser is wonderful! I'm liking our painted hallway more now - it's just so bright!
Kindest regards,

You live in England? I can't believe it. Looks as though you're in the tropics. You have done a gorgeous job with your garden. Beautiful! I love your house too. I've always been partial to lovely white houses. I kinda like the way the pictures are laid out! Sometimes mistakes turn out fun!

I see George loves to be with you in the garden :) Thanks for the lovely tour Marion. Your gardens are truly beautiful and a real credit to you and your husband. I too was surprised to see such tropical plants in your neck of the woods.
Nice to 'see' you too :) Hope you're feeling much better!
