WHAT CAUGHT MY EYE IN THE GARDEN TO-DAY

On this morning’s walk around my garden I lingered a little longer to embrace the beauty of all I saw and to breath in the perfume of the roses.

Oh Marion your roses are so very beautiful! English roses I suppose? Isn't it just wonderful to have a garden with roeses blooming in? I so enjoy the roses at the moment!

We are still clouded over here but can see from your lovely photos that you have had brighter skies. Your garden looks like a little bit of Heaven- love the old roller too.
Go pretty rose, go to my fair,
Go tell her all I fain would dare,
Tell her of hope; tell her of spring,
Tell her of all I fain would sing,
Oh! were I like thee, so fair a thing.

Marion - how could you tear yourself away from the garden to come inside and post those wonderful photos. You must be enjoying your garden so much at the moment. I know I certainly am.

Such lovely roses and I can just imagine the air filled with their perfume!! My middle name is Rose, taken after my grandma whose first name was Rose...I guess that's why I'm partial to roses:-)

Marion,
Your garden is lovely and charming. I can imagine the wonderful scent of your roses. My sweet youngest granddaughter is Rose. Her 4th birthday is next week.
She looked just like a perfect rosebud when she was born and was such a gift to me! (I had lost my Mom just the month before her birth)...
Thanks for these lovely photos :-)

Your roses are just beautiful Marion. I can almost smell them from here! Love foxglove, don't you? Such a pretty shape.
Ross and I were discussing your roller and wondering if John uses it. It looks heavy! Makes a lovely garden ornament :)
Claire of clairsgarden (link on my blog) had a lovely picture on her blog of the thrift growing wild.
