SEPTEMBER DAYS
Saturday was one of those gloriously balmy days you only get in September. The sun was warm, a gentle breeze stirred the trees, and a heavy dew had soaked the lawns. It was certainly a day for being outdoors, for days like this will be getting fewer now.
We had guests staying, so it was just perfect. Whilst they went off to town in the morning I took advantage of catching up with a few jobs in the garden. The smells and colours that surrounded me were simply delicious and so was my coffee.
We all enjoyed a spectacular walk in the afternoon which I will devote to my next posting.

Marion, so nice to hear from you again. My Thursday Thirteen is up this morning. We here in the states do this meme and sometimes I wonder why but I think it is so we can get to know each other better. This was a hard one for me as you will see when you read it.
Your pictures are great. Have you seen mine from my trip back to my home state of Illinois? We just got back from visiting our daughter and her family. Nice to see your post. Hope you are having a good time with your company...Sandy
Your flowers are still looking so beautiful and I especially love the picture where you can see the water drops on the leaves! Great to hear that the weather has been cooperating while you have guests:-) We are having frost in the mornings now but by afternoon it's lovely. Hugs!
Autumn can be beautiful :-)
Cracking images! The air is really warm, I hope the strong winds aren't too destructive your way. I think we have escaped the worst down here,

your patio is so lovely Marion and how I love those beautiful red roses! Glad you had some good company and some time to potter in your garden.
We've had a few of those glorious September days, but our cloudy and rainy pattern has continued as well, so not as many sunny days as we'd like. There's a real nip in the air mornings and nights.
I'm wondering what the yellow flower is. Could it be phlox?
The water drops on the leaves are so pretty and I always love geraniums. That pale pink is lovely.
You've got such a beautiful garden - it is quite an inspiration to me :)
I loved your Mum's linen below Lady Marion. Just beautiful and the poem. The Ladies Mantel pic with the water droplets is lovely. I have the same up back. Lets hope that Sept and Oct are nice months for us this year. :)

Marion - the description of your day sounds perfect, and I can smell the coffee, too (I wish). Your garden is looking lovely still, with the added touch of autumn colour. I hope you have many more balmy days yet.

Hello Ms. Marion~
Your post made me feel like I was there! How lovely to be able to walk through God's beauty, especially with something warm to drink too. (I love tea, tummy doesn't like coffee). Thank you for sharing your pictures with us.
