AN UPDATE......

My apologies to all who have stopped by only to discover that I’ve not updated for a month and also for the absence of my comments on your blogs. I will try and visit you all very soon.

The last few weeks have been busy, what with two urgent trips back to Gloucestershire for dental appointments, unpleasant procedures at hospital, frustrating times with no internet connection and what seems like never ending house maintenance problems. Everything seemed to be happening at once, still, I’m sure everyone gets periods like this!

The good news is that British Telecom have finally installed a new telephone line and at last we have both phone and internet connection working simultaneously now.... lets hope it stays that way too! The conservatory roof has been fixed, so its not leaking in rain now and the central heating boiler is working efficiently once more, so the house is warm thank goodness! for our weather here in Wales has turned considerably colder, we had our first snow fall during Sunday night, it didn’t settle on the ground in the village, but the surrounding mountains were covered and looked so pretty.

Despite all the negative things that have been happening I’ve enjoyed spending time putting the garden to bed for the winter, walking, making Christmas cards and sewing.... I will do postings on these very soon....

I’ve also become Aunty to Theo and Phoebe... two precious little Ragdoll kittens who belong to my SIL Uli and brother Roger. Aren’t they adorable, so full of fun and mischief, its quite entertaining to watch them play. I just love the little darlings to bits. Not sure what George would make of them though, he’s very much a country cat.

Do keep in touch, I’m back on track now......

Aunty Marion,

Phoebe and Theo are precious....and I 'm sure cousin George is learning to tolerate them!

Thanksgiving is this Thursday, always the 4th Thursday in November, as you were asking.....

I'll get back to you later today hopefully.....so happy! Betty

How lovely to hear some news from you Marion! Ross and I were just wondering about you yesterday and hoping all is well. Glad to hear that the problems have been fixed and that your house is warm in time for the cold.
We had snow this past weekend too...4" of it, making the countryside beautiful...but cold! This morning the overnight rain has washed all the white away.
Theo and Phoebe are gorgeous! What pretty little things, and looking so adorable in your photos. Yes, George's nose would probably be bent out of shape if he had to share an abode with them :)
I hope things continue on the positive side and that you are feeling well.

I hope you are well and recovered from all your procedures. Theo and Phoebe are really gorgeous but George is still number 1 as far as I am concerned!

I loved seeing your granny squares in the last post.

Welcome back Marion! I'm glad things are sorting themselves out for you and the house is dry and warm and the telephone and internet lines are working . . .Those kittens are darling and very pretty too. Nothing quite so fun as a kitten to play with.

Hello Marion and nice to hear from you again. I know I said it before but I'll say it again, I love your 'Local scene' post. Whenever I want to look at some nice views I can always return to your October post.

It's nice to know that everything is well again Marion. A leaking roof and a cv that's not working are no fun this time of year.

The two Ragdoll kittens are adorable, lucky you to be an auntie to them. ;-)

Nice to see you are back. Ive had a few weeks break due to influx of American visitors - just took up all my time and energy. They've gone back for Thanksgiving, and I give thanks too to be able to be back in blogland.

Hi Marion,
Wonderful to see you post again and catch up with your news. Ragdoll kittens are just cute beyond words. If your George is anything like our Vincent he would not put out the welcome mat for them.
