MY FIRST COLLAGE

Being inspired by Carol’s creativity and the wonderful collages she’s makes (carolsgarden.blogspot.com), I too, decided to try my hand at making one.

My sister-in-law to be, Ulrike celebrated her birthday two weeks ago, and so with love in my heart, I made this one especially for her. She returns to Germany tomorrow, It somehow seems quite appropriate that it will be taken back to the country from whence my inspiration came.

Thank you Carol, I really enjoyed creating it and I know it will be the first of many.

By clicking on the picture it should enlarge if you want to take a closer look.

Oh! By the way. I thought I should inform you of this. Due to some very undesirable links that were being left as ‘comments’, I have found it necessary to enable my comment’s moderator, this means that all comments left now need my approval before they actually appear in print. I mention this in the event that you may think that your comment hasn’t gone through the first time of sending and send it a second time.

Hi Marion,
So lovely to see you are managing to do a bit more and feeling somewhat better. The collage is beautiful. you are very clever, and quite an artist! I do hope you continue to improve healthwise. The warmer weather should be encouraging!

Hello Marion,
The collage is equisite. I can't imagine how you found so much wonderful source material. When I first looked at it, I thought it was a tote bag--now I see it is a wall hanging??
My mistaken glance made me think, though, that this might be a good idea for an evening purse (made smaller, of course, or a garden party tote in something similar to it's current size. Of course the exposed paper would have to be covered with something see-through and protective. Strong thoughts across the Atlantic for your improved physical well-being. So pleased to see that you are able to be 'crafty' again, Marion. Lovely collage. I hope the pain in your shoulder and arm continues to decrease and you will soon have full movement again.

Oh I thought I've posted on Friday already, but somehow it seem like it didn't work.

Your first collage is lovely Marion and I'm proud to be the one who inspired you (and also Maria) to try yourself in collaging. You've collected some very nice pictures and I hope that Ulrike liked it! It's addicting isn't it?

Hope your feeling better!

Marion, your collage is beautiful!! I've enjoyed seeing it. Isn't it fun to collage? I just love to make collages. My favorite things on this one after just a glimpse at the enlarged picture is the paper doily heart and the black and white kitty cat....smile.
