OUT & ABOUT AROUND MY VILLAGE

The weather has been brilliant in recent days, which makes it such a pleasure to get out and about, enjoying everything at its very best during this wonderful month when grass is never greener, trees never fresher and the flowers never prettier. Colours abound right now, from the glorious golden gorse that covers the lower slopes of the mountains to the delicate spring blossom and the carpets of bluebells in hedgerows, thickets and copse.

Marion - you certainly know how to tug at the heartstrings. I keep enlarging each of your photos and thinking how much I'd love to be there. I would never tire of looking at those mountains. Nor will I ever tire of seeing the views in and around your village. Please keep snapping and posting.

So nice to see another country. Living here in the USA is wonderful but still it is great to see another country too. I am getting ready to fly up to my parents home in Illinois this next Tuesday. They are selling and moving to Arizona which is on the West Coast. I am going to help them pack and then come back here to Georgia. I will miss my husband and home here but I know they are needing help. Again, thanks for sharing your pictures..

Oh Marion. How tranquil. I could live the rest of my days there. Utterly beautiful. It reminds me of the setting from "Last of the Summer Wine"--one of my favorite shows we get on BBC American. That's usually the only reason I watch it to see the lovely countryside. Lucky you to live it. And the lamb.....how sweet! I just want to snuggle it!

Absolutely beautiful photos of the countryside Marion. Makes me want to come straight over for a visit. Whales is such a picturesque place. Did I tell you my mother-in-law's family came from Whales? She made two trips with her daughter, Rita, in recent years before she passed away almost 3 years ago.
The greens are so vibrant! Everything is beautiful about spring, isn't it? Makes one feel very much alive!

What stunning, but familiar, scenery!! I just love little villages like that, and I've seen a few in North Wales that were like stepping back in time. The lamb is just adorable and the stone bridge is beautiful! Thanks for posting these photos.
