BUSY FINGERS THIS WEEK.....

My lovely new Singer sewing machine has arrived, in quick time too, it was only ordered on Friday and it arrived on Tuesday. This machine replaces one I’ve had for many years. Being my new toy, I was anxious to get going with it and so I quickly ran up the pretty cushion. I’ve been into the Attic and sorted out more fabric, so there will be no stopping me now.

The other little job I had on this week, was cutting out all the nice little bits worth saving, from Christmas cards, ones I can recycle and use when I’m making cards for next Christmas. I shall have more than enough to make cards and gift tags to supply the whole village I think.

Your new Singer looks like it will provide you with lots of pleasant sewing time!
I have lots of old Christmas cards that I could also cute up to reuse.
Have to put that on my "to do" list!
hugs!!

Pretty pillow! I'd like to get a sewing machine again. I had a nice Singer years ago but I didn't use it at the time, and I sold it. Now I see so many things I'd like to sew...

A new sewing machine..wow!! Mine I have had for the LONGEST time now. Once it was white and now it has turned a nice yellow color because of its age. It still sews just fine. You know so many younger people do not even buy them anymore plus they are really not at all expensive anymore!! Glad for you..Happy sewing...Sandy

Oh what a joy..a new sewing machine! That would get me sewing too. You've certainly been busy creating. Such a pretty pillow! I admire your organizational skills, getting those Christmas card pictures cut out and saved. I loved the one you sent to me! So creative you are!
Enjoy your new Singer Marion! We're having a bit of snow here this morning. xox

Now I'm sure you'll enjoy that machine to the fullest with all those books you have acquired. There are too many beautiful things in this world to make and not enough time to do them all. Have fun doing as much as you possibly can do and please post.

Oh Marion, you were quite fast! The new sewing machine had just arrive and your first cushion is already there! Well done! BTW, two cushions are on my to-do list as well (which gets longer and longer)

Recycling old Christmas cards, what a nice idea!

I am looking forward to seeing more of your work, including your first little hearts!

Oh how happy this makes you seem!! And what a beautiful job on your new pillow!! It's so colorful. Where are you going to place the pillow? Is it for a bedroom or decorative piece for a chair?

Do tell!!!

Congrats on the new purchase. Hope you have many hours of good times and great accomplishments.

Congrats on your new sewing machine and the pretty cushion Marion! There is nothing better than being creative, isn't it? I did exactly the same with my Christmas cards from last year and this year too. I for one can never have enough choice to use for next years cards and tags. Happy creating! xox
