MY STORY CONTINUES.......This posting tells of the day we visited Betty’s friend Jackie for lunch at her beautiful home. As we approached Jackie’s home I thought we were driving into park land, but no, I was amazed to discover that it was actually Jackie’s garden..... Wow! what magnificent grounds stretched before us complete with its own lake.
Jackie was awaiting our arrival....... sitting in a rocking chair on her lovely porch. She had prepared a southern style BBQ lunch with many delicious dishes.
Having taken a lot more picture that morning, unfortunately these two were the only ones found on my camera...... same happened to Betty, she knows she had taken more too, but she couldn’t find any on her camera, such a pity, because after lunch we had an interesting tour of Jackie’s home and explored the extensive grounds that surrounded it.
After lunch we were in for another treat when we visited Bell’s Daylily Garden.... Oh My! what a ‘daylily experience’ that was! Here the owner Tim Bell, grows the newest and the best daylilies on the market. I’ve always thought was a beautiful flower the daylily is, but I was blown away when I saw the many garden beds full of so many different varieties of these amazing flowers.Tim Bell is a man of great faith and this is reflected in many of the names he has chosen for the new breeds of daylilies such as..... “Little Taste of Heaven’ ‘All God’s Children’ ‘Great Mercies’ ‘Crown of Life’ ‘Love Endures Forever’ & ‘God Alone’ are just naming a few of these incredible beauties.
I did start to make notes of names etc. but then I simply got carried away with just appreciating the exquisite beauty of these flowers.

A woodland of tall trees is another attractive feature of the gardens.....
..........So too is the beautiful lake

Marion, what a gorgeous place this was indeed!! I am now glad that you did not come to our humble home!! It is just a house and that is it..course i prefer to call it our home!! We do not have grounds or beautiful flowers like this. I try with what I have though!! This is just special where you went. I do want you to know that most of us do not live in that spectacular of a place!! We are just common folks..Smile..

What pleasant memories of a wonderful day! Tim's exhibition day lily garden is visited by people from near and far......he has introduced so many winners.....
Lunch was delicious at Jackie's home....she and Jerry are on a 21 day cruise to Germany.....she'll have much to tell once home.....

WALES oh what a beautiful place to live .I live in a desert..
hot- hot in the summer and snow in the winter.. tons of brown hills with sage brush, UGH..
A river the ''mighty Columbia'' runs through town so that helps with the scenery.. and atleast it isn't flat it has hill.. plus huge green timbered mountains in the distance..
well dear I will add you to my favorites..and your friends house and lakeside ,dock etc are lovely..
YES YES COUNTRY LIVING is a fabulous fun magazine.. I love Victoria mag too..
